Honesty

This is a very important word in business, without it our business is not credible, and without credibility we have no business.

Over the last 6 years working with this Industry, I have spoken to many people about honesty and credibility, NEVER have I heard anyone say they are not honest or that their clients are not really looking for a supplier that is not credible. HONESTLY if you'll excuse the pun.

Do all our clients think we are honest and bestow on us the credibility we all so much require?  Can we all say that we do everything right by our clients 100% of the time? Do we give our clients exactly what we promised?

An old mentor of mine once told me that I should say what I am going to do, and then proceed in doing what I said I will do. This is the basis of establishing once credibility. You say what you will do and doing it, how simple is that, or is it that simple?

So how do we fare in the stakes of credibility with our clients? And how would you find out, one may say, we just ask them. Sometimes it takes a little courage to ask, because we might learn things we rather not,  Our client might tell us that we have to lift our game, they might even tell us that we actually lost the plot - can we face the reality of credibility? We will start again immediately with a new poll asking the following questions;

  • What can we do to improve our service?
  • Is our delivery meeting with your expectations?
  • Are our products up to the standard you expect?
  • Is our pricing strategy meeting with you present requirements?

 

These are the questions we will be asking you, what are the questions you can put to your clients?  When we ask these kind of questions, but if we want to grow and stay in business we must face our clients. We must have the courage to deal with it as this leads us to the next heading.
